Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

KitaKore is run by PresenceSmith Technology LLC, a limited liability company organized in the State of Ohio, United States. When this policy says "we," "us" or "our," that's who it means. It applies to kitakore.com, the waitlist, and the KitaKore platform once you have an account. You can reach us any time at support@kitakore.com.

2. What we collect

We collect the information we need to provide, secure, operate and improve KitaKore. Here is what that looks like in practice.

If you join the waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you submit. We use it to confirm your signup and to contact you about KitaKore beta invitations, launch announcements and closely related availability updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

If you create an account

Your email address, a username, and whatever you choose to put on your profile: display name, bio, links, profile and gallery images, video and other content. Anything you publish on a public KitaKore profile is public. Other people can view it, share it, link to it, and search engines can index and cache it. We can't control copies that other people make after you publish something publicly.

Payments

Payments are handled by third-party payment providers, currently Stripe. They collect your payment details, and we do not store complete payment card numbers. We do receive the transaction information we need to run the service, such as transaction identifiers, payment status, amounts, provider account identifiers and limited transaction details.

If you connect a social account

When you connect a social platform, we receive the information covered by the permissions you approve on that platform. We use it to show your posts and profile details on your page, and we keep the access token we need to keep things in sync. That token is stored securely. If you disconnect the account from your dashboard, we stop syncing it, though we may keep some information for normal security and record-keeping needs.

If you visit a creator's page

We count the visit and any link clicks so the creator can see how their page is doing. That includes your approximate location (country and, where available, city), which our hosting provider works out from your IP address, along with your browser, device type and operating system, and the site that referred you. KitaKore does not use ordinary profile-view analytics to directly identify individual visitors. If you subscribe to a creator's email list, your email address is stored with that creator's list, and the creator can use KitaKore's tools to send you updates. The creator decides what to send, and every email includes an unsubscribe link.

What our servers log

Like most websites, our servers record your IP address, browser and device information, and the time of your visit. We use this to keep the site secure and to spot abuse, such as bots signing up in bulk. If something breaks, we may also receive technical details about the error so we can fix it.

Notifications

If you turn on browser notifications, we store the subscription details your browser gives us so we can deliver the notifications you asked for. You can switch them off in your browser or your dashboard at any time.

3. How we use it

We use information to sign you in, deliver your profile and host your content, take payments, send subscriber and waitlist messages, provide analytics, keep the service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, answer support requests, fix bugs, and comply with the law.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not rent it. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Who else sees it

Service providers. A small number of companies help us run KitaKore, for things like hosting and file storage, sending email, checking that an email address is real, and error monitoring. They handle information on our behalf and only for those purposes.

Independent third parties. Payment providers such as Stripe, and the social platforms you choose to connect, handle information under their own terms and privacy policies. We encourage you to read them.

Beyond that, we share information only when the law requires it or when we need to protect our users or our service from fraud or abuse.

5. Cookies

We use the cookies and browser storage needed to keep you signed in, remember your settings and measure visits to creator pages. We do not use advertising cookies or advertising pixels. Our Cookie Policy has the details.

6. How long we keep it

Waitlist emails stay on our list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you. Account information stays for as long as your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, media and sign-in details from our live systems. Copies may remain for a limited time in backups and logs, and we may keep some records where needed for security, fraud prevention, payment and accounting, resolving disputes, enforcing our terms or meeting legal obligations.

7. Your choices and rights

You can leave the waitlist at any time using the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, which removes your address from our list. You can also email us and ask us to delete it.

Depending on where you live, and whether privacy law applies to KitaKore, you may have additional rights over your personal information. These can include the right to access it, correct it, delete it, receive a copy of it, restrict or object to how we use it, withdraw consent where we rely on consent, and appeal a decision or complain to a regulator. To make a request, write to support@kitakore.com. We may need to confirm who you are first.

8. Security

We protect your information with encrypted connections, secure sign-in and limits on who at KitaKore can reach it. No system is completely safe, so we can't promise perfect security, but we take it seriously.

9. Children

KitaKore is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us their information, let us know at support@kitakore.comand we'll delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy when our practices change. If the change is significant, we will email you or put a notice on the site. The date at the top always shows when it was last updated.
